For those who I haven't said it to already - happy New Year! I wish you all the best in 2005!

My daughter wants to do gymnastics. I think that this is actually something worth looking into due to how she has a penchant for flipping around the sofa and chairs in the sitting room and knocking the lamp over on the side table. Honestly, I have repaired that lamp so many times it's a wonder it will still allow me to repair it. I ought to just buy one out of plastic because no matter how many times I tell Moe to stop it, the moment I step out of the room I hear a crash.

Anyway, I believe that this is something worthy to look into. Does anyone know of anything nearby that offers something like that for an almost four-year-old? Her birthday is on the 29th, so I think it might be something to look into for her.

She also wants a party, but I don't think I can handle a score of preschoolers at my flat. That is a disaster just waiting to happen, I'm certain.

Oh, Merlin. Christmas is certainly the busy season for me. Between practice for tour (if we can call it a tour this year - we aren't even leaving the island) (which I suppose I can't complain about as it means more time for home) (but that really is not the point) (and is causing me to misuse parentheses which is just wrong), shopping for Christmas gifts, and carting Moe around to my parents' to preschool, to everywhere else she goes.. it's amazing that I have time to eat and sleep let alone write in a diary (or are they journals now that I'm no longer sixteen?) that I felt was necessary for some reason or another.

One would think that playing the same three measures of "Angels We Have Heard On High" and carting around a four-year-old while carrying bags upon bags of shopping would wear me down, but I am happy to report that I have not reached Scrooge potential just yet. None to worry - I am not bah-humbuging the holidays. A time may come that I will, but as of today I am quite successful in keeping a chin up.

Merlin, I sound like a complete dork, don't I?

Anyway, this is Jill Dorny. Hello to one and all!
